Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
- Account data: name and email, handled by our authentication provider (WorkOS).
- Workspace data: the inventory you enter — items, serials, values, locations, checkouts, reservations, and audit history.
- Billing data: handled by Stripe; we never see full card numbers.
- Diagnostics: error reports and performance telemetry (Sentry), scrubbed of inventory content where practical.
2. How we use it
To run the product: authenticate you, store and sync your inventory in real time (Convex), process subscriptions (Stripe), and fix bugs. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your inventory data for advertising.
3. Where it lives
KitLens runs on Vercel with data stored in Convex. Sub-processors: WorkOS (authentication), Stripe (payments), Convex (database and realtime sync), Sentry (error monitoring), Vercel (hosting).
4. Multi-tenancy and access
Every workspace is isolated by organization; your data is only visible to members of your workspace. Team workspaces keep an audit log of state-changing actions, visible to workspace admins.
5. Retention and deletion
Your data is retained while your workspace exists. You can export everything (CSV / JSON backup) at any time. Deleting your organization cancels billing, purges workspace data, and removes the organization from our auth provider. In-app notifications are pruned after 90 days.
6. Emails
KitLens itself does not send marketing email. You may receive transactional email from WorkOS (sign-in, invitations) and Stripe (receipts, trial reminders).
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. The export and deletion tools in Settings cover most of this directly; for anything else, contact email support.
8. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will announce it in the app before the change takes effect.
